On Saturday evening our confirmation candidates from Seaford, Newhaven, and Peacehaven came together for an inspiring evening led by Bishop Richard Moth and Lizzie Wakeling from our Diocese. The session was a meaningful step in their Confirmation journey, deepening their understanding of prayer and spiritual practices.

Throughout the evening, the candidates delved into:

Prayer: Discussing its role as the cornerstone of our faith.

The Daily Examen: A reflective practice to recognize God’s presence in everyday moments.

Lectio Divina: A meditative way to engage with Scripture.

These shared experiences aimed to strengthen their personal connection with God.

A touching moment was when a young lady from our Diocese shared their faith journey and the impact of the Ascent Programme, a three-year discipleship process for young Catholics eager to deepen their relationship with Jesus and learn to share their faith.

As our young people prepare for Confirmation, let’s keep them in our prayers, asking for the Holy Spirit’s guidance on their faith journey.

A big thank you to Mary Anne and Deacon Stephen for their unwavering support and dedication to nurturing the spiritual growth of our young people.

Our candidates truly shined as representatives of our parish community.
